Dynasty Updates

My picks (2-2)

Bills (New stadium, Josh will be pumped from last week, fans will be huge in support).

Jets (I can’t believe I’m picking the Jets, but they looked good and Packers may not be as good as advertised).

Patriots (They are not losing two in a row, not at home, not against the Steelers).

49ers (Dolphins fool me once, not twice).

  1. was backcountry canoe camping all wknd (epic 30km round trip) so missed the game… surprise to see it was 14-6 at half… progress?

      1. in his defense it's pretty hard… especially with the limited reps in practice per your other responsibilities

  2. Pretty sure I made my best Detroit style pizza to date last night, French onion. Took an hour just carmelizing onions. Then topped with some super hot seared shaved ribeye and gruyere. Might make the same exact thing next week in the rare instance of not wanting to change a single thing.

    1. I make one with Chicken Scarpariello on top. Basically I make same sauce as I would the dish, then cover the Detroit style pizza. Amazing
Sounds like you are getting good at it

      1. Been using your technique to kick up the dough by adding in some garlic/onion powder, honey and oregano, big flavor boost.

      2. Had to look up chicken scarpariello, never heard of it, sounds delish. Similar technique to the chicken paprikash pizza I made a couple months ago. I'm struggling with how not to overcook the chicken.

      1. Going to my favorite Pizza place tonight, meeting friends. Very thin crust, I usually eat the pie by myself. Have not decided what I want on it yet, but something with cherry peppers

      1. I use butter and beef broth the entire time…20 min and its real nice. What makes a pizza 'Detroit style'?

      1. The sad thing is I could go undefeated this season and still be in last place in the all time rankings

      1. im very much disgusted by that loss and felt like it was one of the worst coaching performances in a long while which is saying a lot

i get the d played well, i get the ST is going to at times give up a big play given how good theyve been so thats w/e – but the decision making at the end on multiple occasions and playing scared is why they lost imo

      2. to me its a bit bigger than an oh well because it reinforces to me that i still feel like we dont have a coach

      3. i thought they should have went for it when it was 14-7 4th and 1 within fg range – could have ended the game w a first down, defense was playing really good so if you dont get it you still feel good that best they can do is drive the field and tie it and leave time on the board

geno not taking chances is exactly how the entire coaching staff played – hated the game plan once up – reminded me of saleh where they suddenly play protect rather than attack

    1. there's prolly no correlation to all this, but i really think teams should be playing in the preseason. at least some.

      1. I agree totally. We went from lots of practices in off-season, to very few now, and most of these guys hardly dress up for one less pre-season game

      2. Dart's wreckless abandon playstyle wasn't going to have him playing past week 4 anyway, Scattebo likely has 2 more games in him. Dart, Scattebo, Nabers sounds like a lethal combo, until you realize that combo is never on the field at the same time.
